This year we have one online only site (link above) on the solar tour that is available to view prior to the tour, the Lolie Eccles YWCA Teen Home in Salt Lake City, Utah. Below are pictures and a description of the site, as well as a link to go and view the site online. Check it out, and get ready to see sites near you in person on Saturday, September 12th in Northern Utah and Saturday, September 26th in Southern Utah.

Solar Domestic Hot Water Heating for the Lolie Eccles YWCA Teen Home in Salt Lake City, Utah. In the summer of 2008, the Utah Chapter of the American Society of Heating Refrigerating and Air Condition Engineers (ASHRAE) raised the money for, and donated the installation of a 100 Sq Ft thermal solar array complete with 160 gallons of storage, tanks, pumps, heat exchangers and a live data website automation system. Since the teen home is a secure facility there is no public tour of the system available. However anyone is welcome to view the live data website at
www.utahashraesolar.tzo.com.
